Project description
Aljazira - peninsula (Latin: paeninsula from paene “almost” and insula “island”; also called a byland or biland) is a piece of land that is bordered by water on three sides but connected to mainland. The surrounding water is usually understood to belong to a single, contiguous body, but is not always explicitly defined as such.
The aim of the project is to create a peninsula that is the center of gravity where all the functions can rotate around. The kitchen becomes the functional connection between the living and sleeping area, spread all around. Its curved shape, allows the creation of a branch immediately in front, projecting the right side, a large living room with its bar, a balcony and dining area, plus the kitchen. In the same part, but hidden from the users who enters the apartment have two bedrooms for guests in the west side.
On the left side towards the sea was emphasized to the design of the master bedroom; a large space that welcomes the jacuzzi overlooking the sea, a dressing room and a private bathroom. Adjacent to this and in the direction of the city, we have a study, a bedroom for guests, and a room for the dependencies.
Access to the master bedroom can be made through the living room or through the left wing. The play of forms that have produced the project is projected on the ceiling and on the floor, where the alternation of white and gold coloring, as well as the reflective surface of the resin alternated mosaics, making a space unique.
